Interesting game to Study Populations.

I was introduced to this game through my college computer science professors. Please play around with it a little to see if it can help you better understand how populations grow and shrink based on limiting factors.

The Game of Life is not your typical computer game. It is a 'cellular automaton', and was invented by Cambridge mathematician John Conway.

This game became widely known when it was mentioned in an article published by Scientific American in 1970. It consists of a collection of cells which, based on a few mathematical rules, can live, die or multiply. Depending on the initial conditions, the cells form various patterns throughout the course of the game.

"God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love -- not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins" (1 John 4:9, 10).

5-8 Memory Verse for Lesson 5

"Listen! The LORD'S arm is to weak to save you, nor is his ear too deaf to hear you call. It's your sins that have cut you off from God. Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not listen anymore" (Isaiah 59:1, 2).

Note that the test for this memory verse will be on Thursday October 2, 2008.

5-8 Memory Verse for Lesson 4

"Then God said, 'Let us make human beings in our image, to be like ourselves. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.'
"So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them" (Genesis 1:26, 27).
