5-8 Memory Verse for Lesson 7

"The LORD observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil. So the LORD was sorry he had ever made them and put them on the earth. It broke his heart" (Genesis 6:5, 6).

5-8 Memory Verse for Lesson 6

"God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love -- not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins" (1 John 4:9, 10).

Fish Tank in the Works.

This past Sunday the 9th grade class and myself went on a little field trip to PetCo to see what we could find to put in the fish tank in the classroom.

They came up with a list of fish that they liked. Now we just need to test the tank to make sure that it survived the trip from Idaho to Alaska. Next we will work on decorating the tank and stabilizing it and go get some fish for the tank.
